Find answers to common questions about wound care certification, WCC® certification preparation, course content, eligibility, enrollment, and the Network4Learning wound care education program.

What is the Network4Learning Wound Care Education Program?

The Network4Learning Wound Care Education Program is a comprehensive online course designed for healthcare professionals seeking to strengthen their knowledge of evidence-based wound assessment, prevention, treatment, and management.

The curriculum addresses the major domains of wound care practice and is designed to provide clinicians with a structured and convenient way to expand their wound care knowledge while preparing to pursue professional wound care certification.

How is the Network4Learning Wound Care Education Program different from other wound care courses?

We believe high-quality wound care education should be comprehensive, focused, and affordable.

The Network4Learning Wound Care Education Program was developed around the content areas healthcare professionals need to know. Rather than simply assembling a collection of wound care lectures, our curriculum is carefully mapped to the WCC® examination content domains, providing a structured approach to each area of knowledge addressed by the certification examination.

Practice and reinforcement are also central to our approach. The program includes more than 600 practice questions, systematically mapped to the WCC® examination content domains. This allows learners to reinforce what they have studied, identify areas requiring additional review, and gain extensive experience applying wound care concepts.

Most importantly, we have worked to make comprehensive wound care education affordable and accessible. We believe the cost of education should not be a barrier to professional development or wound care certification.

Our goal is simple: provide a comprehensive, carefully mapped wound care education program with extensive practice opportunities at a price healthcare professionals can afford.

Does this course meet the educational eligibility requirements for the WCC® certification?

Yes.

The National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy (NAWCO®) Certification Committee reviewed the Network4Learning wound care program against its educational eligibility criteria for the Wound Care Certified (WCC®) certification.

Following its review, the Certification Committee determined that the program meets the educational eligibility criteria for candidates seeking WCC® certification.

Completion of the course may therefore be used to satisfy the applicable educational eligibility requirement for candidates pursuing WCC® certification, subject to NAWCO’s other certification eligibility requirements.

Is this course approved by NAWCO?

NAWCO does not formally approve course providers.

As NAWCO explained in its review of our program:

“NAWCO does not formally ‘approve’ program providers; rather, we review course content to ensure it sufficiently covers all domains tested as part of the WCC® certification process.”

Following that review, NAWCO’s Certification Committee determined that the Network4Learning program meets the educational eligibility criteria for candidates seeking WCC® certification.

Network4Learning is therefore listed by NAWCO as an education provider whose course satisfies the educational eligibility requirements for initial certification and recertification.

Does completing this course make me WCC® certified?

No. Completing the Network4Learning course does not by itself confer the WCC® credential.

The WCC® is a professional certification administered by NAWCO. Candidates must meet NAWCO’s current eligibility requirements and successfully complete the certification process, including the WCC® examination.

Our course provides the wound care education required for the applicable educational pathway; certification itself is awarded by NAWCO.

Can I use this course for WCC® recertification?

Yes. NAWCO’s Certification Committee determined that the Network4Learning program satisfies its educational eligibility requirements for both initial certification and recertification.

Clinicians should always verify the current NAWCO recertification requirements applicable to their individual credential and certification cycle.

Does the course provide nursing continuing education hours?

Yes. The Network4Learning Wound Care Education Program is approved for nursing continuing education through the Florida Board of Nursing.

Upon successful completion of the course requirements, eligible participants receive a certificate documenting their continuing education hours.

Our FLorida Board of Nursing provider number is: 50-31049. This course is approved for 23 hours of nursing continuing education.

Are there quizzes and practice questions?

Yes. Knowledge checks and quizzes are incorporated throughout the program to reinforce important concepts and help you identify areas that may require additional study.

The course is designed not simply to present information, but to help you develop a working understanding of the wound care concepts addressed within the WCC® certification domains.

Is the WCC® certification exam included with the course?

No. Registration for the WCC® certification examination is separate from enrollment in the Network4Learning course.

The WCC® examination and certification process are administered by NAWCO, not Network4Learning.

Will I receive a certificate?

Yes. Participants who successfully complete the required course activities will receive a Certificate of Completion documenting successful completion of the wound care education program and applicable continuing education hours.

Keep this certificate for your professional records and for documentation when applying for certification, recertification, or continuing education credit.

Is Network4Learning affiliated with NAWCO?

Network4Learning is an independent education provider. NAWCO administers the WCC® certification independently of Network4Learning.

NAWCO’s review of our program determined that it meets the educational eligibility criteria for candidates seeking WCC® certification. This should not be interpreted as an endorsement of Network4Learning or a guarantee of certification or examination success
